MY APPROACH
I'm not just here to take a few nice pictures. Every shoot matters to me — whether it's a big wedding or a quiet portrait session.
From the planning to the shoot, and every bit of editing after, I’m hands-on with every step. Because to me, every image isn’t just a photo — it’s a moment, a memory, a feeling you’ll want to hold onto.
I guide when needed, step back when I should, and always make sure you feel comfortable in front of the lens. Whether you're after natural candids or a bit of editorial flair, I’ve got you.
You’re trusting me with something precious — and I’ll give it everything I’ve got.
Why I charge what I charge — and why it’s worth it
I know choosing a photographer is a big decision — and I never take that lightly.
What you’re investing in isn’t just a gallery of images. It’s presence. It’s trust. It’s a pair of eyes that notice the quiet, meaningful moments — and hold onto them for you.

STORIES I'VE TOLD
These aren’t just photos — they’re pieces of time I’ve held onto. Moments that spoke to me, and hopefully, speak to you too.
BEHIND THE LENS
I’m Ian – a photographer, videographer, and dad of two.
I’ve been working with video professionally for years, and it’s something I love just as much as photography. A good story deserves to be seen — and heard.
I was fortunate to be invited by Sony Hong Kong as a photographer to showcase their revolutionary first full-frame mirrorless camera at an event. This experience is one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.
People often ask if I’ve just graduated — I’ll take that as a compliment (though my two kids might tell you otherwise).
I’m not the type who talks a lot just for the sake of it. I prefer to listen, to prepare, and to focus on what actually matters — making sure every shoot feels relaxed, honest, and thoughtfully done.
At the end of the day, it’s not about how much I say — it’s about what you get.

Being featured by the BBC was both an honour — and a quiet reminder.
Recently, I had the privilege of speaking to BBC News about my thoughts and experience photographing cherry blossoms in Harrogate.
But to me, it wasn’t just about the exposure — it was a chance to speak about something I’ve always believed in:
Telling stories through photographs.
